Menopause – Guidance on management and prescribing HRT for GPs: Based on NICE guidance 2015 and recent updates

Author: Dr Imogen Shaw, GPwSI Gynaecology

Format: Further Reading Source: PCWHS document

Written by a member of the 2015 NICE guidance panel, this document gives an overview of menopause management, including the risks and benefits of HRT and the properties of different progestogens as part of an HRT regime. It is in the process of being updated and should be used with the caveat that it does not reflect the 2024 update to the NICE guidance.

This resource has been produced on behalf of the PCWHS. It is for guidance only; healthcare professionals should use their own judgment when applying it to patient care.
